David C. Levi, MD., is a partner in Pain Management Partners, LLC. Dr. Levi is double board certified in pain medicine and anesthesiology.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, Dr. Levi earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, NJ. He completed his internship at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ and then conducted his fellowship in anesthesiology at Stanford University Hospital in Stanford, CA. He also completed his fellowship in pain management while at Stanford.
Dr. Levi works with his patients to develop treatment plans that will enable them to become functional with as little pain as possible. “With the advent of minimally invasive procedures, newer medications and various non-narcotic treatments, we’ve been able to go a long way toward allowing patients to return to the lives they want to live,” he says. “Any recommendations I make for my patients are the very same recommendations I would make for any member of my family.”
Working in collaboration with his physician assistants and nurse practitioners, Dr. Levi stresses the importance of patient education. “Education is critical because if the patient is informed, that makes for a much better conversation about their treatment,” he says.
Dr. Levi is recognized for his work in the field of pain management and has repeatedly earned the honor of being named one of Connecticut magazine’s “Top Doctors” by his peers.
